a group of women holding a card

Last Wednesday night a handful of Optinauts joined over a thousand people in the Continental Ballroom, at San Francisco’s Hilton on Union Square, to claim our most recent accolade. When you have over 400 individuals who are ambitious, driven and determined to win, it’s hard to accept anything but first place. However, I am delighted to see Optimizely claim the fourth spot in the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley Business Journal’s Best Places to Work Awards for 2018.

Now that we’ve had a few days to celebrate as a team and share the news, I am taking a moment to reflect.

Wow. Thank you.

Thank you to our team of passionate Optinauts. I am incredibly proud of the dedication of every single employee to embody our culture and work towards one common goal; to make our customers wildly successful. Without our remarkably talented team, we would not be recognized for such an award year after year.

As a leadership team, we are deeply committed to creating a culture based on inclusion, experimentation, innovation, and feeling empowered to take risks. To be successful, we have to be exceptional performers. And to be exceptional performers, we have to have passionate people driving the way.

Ownership is a primary value at Optimizely and we support employees’ active participation in creating and shaping our company culture. We give all of our employees the opportunity to run with ideas and to experiment. Jamtown Thursdays was started when a group of employees wanted to come together and put an under-utilized conference room to better use; they brought in musical instruments and have a jam session every Thursday night after our company all hands, Show & Tell.

The Optimizely culture was created by our amazing co-founders, Dan Siroker and Pete Koomen, and is embodied by all our Optinauts across the globe. This vibrant spirit truly inspires and excites me and makes me proud to be a member of this team. It is our Optinauts who make Optimizely a great place to work!

We’re growing fast — and we’re hiring! — and we’re still giving ourselves a goal to improve our benefits and perks this year, nurture our employees and, just as we do for our customers, create a positive experience.

Thanks again to everyone who made this recognition a possibility. I am honored, every day, to work with this group of exceptional people.
