Let's take a look at some of the types of team structures we've seen in experimentation:
Center of Excellence- model where central team supports a collection of teams that are testing their own experiences (i.e. does not execute experiments, but assists other teams to do so)
Individual Team- single team that owns experimentation, including the full experimentation workflow
Testing Council- combination of COE-type team (sharing best practices, training, teaching) & committee planning across business units
Hybrid- a combination model of all other types of structures
We will dive deeper into these team structures in another course, but the most important takeaway here is teams can be structured in many different ways, dependent upon your experimentation program. When determining which team structure works best for you, it's important to be a future-thinker and visualize what you'd ideally want your experimentation program to look like, and work backwards from there.
