Episerver Announces Release of Episerver Commerce for Microsoft Dynamics 365

Episerver expands native commerce capabilities to help businesses drive digital transformation through joint solution with Microsoft

Episerver, a global provider of a single platform to smartly manage digital content, commerce, and marketing in the cloud, today introduced Episerver Commerce for Dynamics 365 at the 2017 Microsoft Inspire conference.

The end-to-end solution brings together Episerver’s unified content management and digital commerce platform with the unified CRM and ERP capabilities of Dynamics 365, all within the Microsoft Azure cloud, to help organizations to integrate, automate, and transform their business with intelligent applications that work smarter together. The solution addresses the needs of modern retailers, manufacturers and distributors alike with complex, and growing omnichannel requirements, all while reducing “under-the-hood” implementation costs and expediting time to value.

“Whether business-to-business or business-to-consumer, modern commerce takes place across more channels more frequently than in the past, and we have all come to expect a seamless, no-hassle immersive buying experience,” said James Norwood, EVP strategy and CMO at Episerver. “Yet simplifying the omnichannel customer journey all too often takes a vast array of tools and complex integration across systems. With Dynamics 365, Microsoft has worked to make business processes from sales to operations to service completely seamless. Now, with Episerver Commerce for Dynamics 365, we’re taking that to the next level by empowering our joint customers to deliver immersive and frictionless commerce experiences for their customers.”

“Episerver shares our vision of driving transformation and enhancing the customer experience, all with the power of digital intelligence”, said David Willis, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft. “Our solutions can help to take this vision further, by unifying the capabilities of CRM business software and ERP systems with Dynamics 365, and Episerver’s unified content and commerce platform -- all on the Microsoft Azure cloud.”

Episerver solution partners and customers -- including Implexis, Thinkmax, Premier Designs and Jenson USA -- have already made use of the solution to deliver across a range of operational and commerce functions, including search, merchandising, navigation, product recommendations, online promotions, content marketing, financial management, and customer and field service.

“Jenson USA does the majority of our business online, which makes the customer experience vital in all channels,” said Jeff Bolkovatz, director of IT, Jenson USA. “We chose Episerver Commerce for Dynamics 365 for its ability to optimize conversions, while delivering an integrated digital experience platform that makes it possible for us to empower our employees to focus more on the customer journey as opposed to deployment and integration concerns.”

Episerver Commerce for Dynamics 365 is available now and offers a pre-built connector to Dynamics 365, as well as support for Dynamics CRM, Dynamics AX, Dynamics NAV-LS Retail, Office 365 and Microsoft SharePoint. Under the partnership, the solution is provided as a fully-managed cloud deployment on Azure web applications, enabling the highest levels of performance, scalability and security.
