At Optimizely, we value diversity and inclusiveness. That means more than just talking the talk, it means walking the walk. That is why we’ve decided to take a stand and publicly support immigrants. Here is the email I sent all Optimizely employees:

Subject: Supporting our colleagues

Optinauts,

We’ve heard from so many of you in recent days regarding the U.S. executive order on immigration, so we thought it was important to address all Optinauts on this topic.

Pete and I are the sons of immigrants, and we are incredibly fortunate to have been born in a country that has provided us with the tremendous opportunity to achieve our dreams and serve as entrepreneurs. That would not have been possible had it not been for our parents and every other immigrant before them who have contributed to the greatness of our country. We’d also like to acknowledge the role immigrants have played at Optimizely. Optinauts are the wellspring of our growth and innovation, and together our diverse experiences and backgrounds have contributed to the success of our company.

Some of you may be worried about your colleagues. We want you to know that we are doing everything in our power to support Optinauts directly impacted by this executive order. We are providing direct assistance through our immigration attorneys and People Operations team.

How can you help? You may recall that through the OPTIGIVE program in December, Optinauts donated $3,507 to the ACLU. To support all the dreams of immigrants today and all the dreams of those who have yet to come, Optimizely will match that $3,507, as well as match an additional $10,000 in donations to the ACLU. Through February 10, you can donate at the ACLU Optimizely Impact Hub Page.
