The event will kick-off with an Education Day on Tuesday, October 17 and the main conference days of Wednesday, October 18 - Thursday, October 19.

Opticon 2017 will be held at the Wynn Las Vegas, located along the famous Las Vegas Strip!

Optimizely has secured a block of rooms at the Wynn Las Vegas at a discounted rate of $229.00 per night plus $25.00 resort fee (not including taxes). This discounted rate will expire on September 23, 2017 5:00 PM (PST), but we anticipate selling out in advance of that date, don’t delay in securing your hotel room!

Hotel cancellations must be received by 3:00 PM (PST), 24 hours prior to the date of arrival to avoid a one night room and tax penalty chargeable to hotel guest.

Certification

Choose among Certified User: Web Experimentation, or Certified Developer; Web Products. Certifications are offered during Education Day and both days of Opticon.

Yes, you can get Certified both during Education Day as well as both days of the main Conference during lunch.

Education Day

Yes, you can get certified both during university day as well as during both days of the conference at lunch time

Opticon Education Day is a full day of learning with courses to help you master the art of experimentation, from the basics to the advanced. Education Day courses are available for an additional fee on top of the Opticon pass.

Yes, Beyond the Basics: Advanced Experimentation Techniques and Operationalizing Full Stack and App Experimentation for Product Managers take place in the morning, while Beyond the Basics: Personalize Like a Pro and Making the Transition from Optimizely Classic to Optimizely X Web Experimentation take place in the afternoon. You are able to attend a morning and afternoon course. Experimentation Professional Certification: Build a Winning Experimentation Practice through People, Product, and Process is an all-day course and cannot be combined with another.

Please bring your charged laptop so you can follow along with exercises and/or view any electronic materials. Also bring any note-taking materials you may need.

Any Optimizely customer or partner can participate in Education Day.

Five courses are available for users of Optimizely X, and users transitioning from Optimizely Classic to Optimizely X. See the full course prospectus here.

In Experimentation Professional Certification: Build a Winning Experimentation Practice through People, Product, and Process, participants will take the Experimentation Professional Certification during the course. While the other courses will enhance your learning and knowledge of experimentation, they are not intended to be your sole means of preparing for Certification.

Event

Opticon is a business casual affair, which means jeans, blazers, skirts, and t-shirts are all acceptable. Wear what you’re comfortable in and come dressed to have an amazing time.

On-site registration will be available as well, however, we strongly recommend that you register early to secure your spot. On-site registrations is $1,100 and can only be paid by credit card.

Registration transfers will be available free of charge until Friday, September 8, 2017. After this date, any transfers / substitutions will incur a fee of $50.00.

Cancellation Policy: Registration cancellations must be received in writing by 5:00 p.m. (PST) on Friday, September 8, 2017 to be eligible for a refund, less a $100.00 processing fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations received after 5:00 p.m. (PST) on Friday, September 8, 2017. Please send cancellation requests to opticon@launchinc.com.

Please remember that cancelling a registration does not automatically cancel hotel and travel arrangements. Registrants are responsible for cancelling hotel and travel reservations.

You can bring anyone you’d like, but every attendee must have a valid Opticon badge, so please be sure to register on our website.

Travel

While October won’t be as hot as the Las Vegas summers, it will still be warm with daily average temperatures ranging from the mid to low 80’s. However evening temperatures have the potential to drop to the mid 50’s, so be sure to bring a jacket.

You can request a letter from Optimizely to help you obtain your travel visa to attend Opticon 2017. You must register for the conference prior to requesting a visa letter. Once you have registered, please send an email to opticon@launchinc.com and provide the following information:

Please note: Requesting a letter from Optimizely does not guarantee that your local authorities will grant a travel visa to attend Opticon 2017.
