The Opal Accessibility Assistant is designed to integrate seamlessly with Optimizely, enabling scans of any content source including CMS SaaS, CMS PaaS, external websites, and local URLs. Editors and QA teams can enter a page URL or import a sitemap to perform real-time accessibility checks using technologies such as axe-core or WAVE. The tool identifies accessibility issues like missing alt text, low contrast, heading hierarchy problems, landmarks, and ARIA attribute gaps and and reports them back to the user. An integrated AI assistant provides plain-language explanations and safe auto-fix suggestions, helping users resolve issues without leaving the CMS. The solution supports published pages, staging and preview environments with optional authentication, and local development URLs, as well as batch site-wide audits. It also generates an accessibility score and a prioritized list of fixes, making accessibility compliance an effortless part of the content workflow.
