The Atlassian remote MCP connector allows Agent Platform to interact directly with your Jira and Confluence environments, giving agents and Mark the ability to manage projects, tasks, and documentation without switching between tools. The connector is managed by Atlassian via its Rovo MCP Server.

An administrator connects the integration once from the Connectors section in Agent Platform, selecting which Atlassian apps and sites to access. Individual users then authenticate with their own Atlassian accounts. Once enabled, tools work across Mark Chat, agents, and workflows.

Marketing teams, digital project managers, and cross-functional teams who track work in Jira or maintain documentation in Confluence will benefit most. If your team uses Jira for campaign project tracking or Confluence as your internal knowledge base, this connector lets you create issues, update statuses, and reference documentation from within Agent Platform — keeping your workflow in one place rather than switching between tools for project management and marketing work.

Example use cases:

  • Ask Chat to search Confluence for the latest brand guidelines document and summarize the key rules.
  • Take a campaign brief authored in Agent Platform and create a Jira epic with a full set of child issues, assigning each to the right team member with due dates based on the campaign timeline.
  • Build a campaign launch workflow that generates a full Jira project structure from a campaign brief — including epics, stories, and subtasks with assignees and dependencies — posts the project summary to a Confluence page for cross-team visibility, and monitors the sprint for newly created blocking issues, surfacing a daily digest to the campaign manager within Agent Platform.
