Eftsure's global website gets 200% faster with CMS (SaaS)

Auf einen Blick

  • 200%+ faster page loads via cloud-native headless architecture which is essential for trust in fraud prevention
  • Marketing builds pages without developer help using Optimizely’s unique Visual Page Builder
  • Streamlined localization workflows across Australia, New Zealand, and US markets within a unified platform
  • First APAC company to launch on Optimizely CMS (SaaS), supported by partner, Luminary

The security imperative meets content reality

Niek Dekker oversees marketing for a company that helps protect billions in payments. But, Eftsure's own digital platform wasn't keeping pace with their innovation — their WordPress site lacked the speed and agility needed to support rapid global expansion.

As VP of Marketing, Dekker was managing global content operations across Australia, New Zealand, and the US with a CMS that created friction at every step.

Basic updates required developer support. Regional content management relied on a plugin approach that created integration issues. Page performance that didn't match the standards their customers expected.

"As a fast-scaling company where security and web performance are critical, it was time to move away from WordPress and the many challenges that come with it," Dekker explains.

The stakes were particularly high for Eftsure. Every slow page load undermined their credibility with prospects evaluating security solutions. Their digital experience needed to reflect the cutting-edge technology they provided to protect billions in B2B payments.

When your platform becomes your bottleneck

WordPress wasn’t just slowing Eftsure down, it was eroding trust. Updates took weeks. Localization broke constantly. And slow page speeds made a fraud prevention company appear insecure. The platform's rigid structure made it impossible for the marketing team to move at the speed their business required.

To support our global ambitions, we were looking for an enterprise-ready solution that would enable us to deliver localized content efficiently, and we found that in Optimizely.

Even the idea of having a Visual Page Builder was a distant dream — with the marketing team having little autonomy when it came to editing the website. It was a constant reliance on developers to push through both simple and complex changes.

The platform decision: API-first architecture for React framework integration

Dekker's evaluation focused on finding a solution that could deliver both enterprise-grade security and marketing team agility. The technical requirements were specific: Seamless React framework integration, cloud-native performance, and the flexibility to scale efficiently across multiple markets.

The marketing and IT teams needed to gain agility, without compromising security. Optimizely’s modern, cloud-native CMS allowed that. Optimizely's architecture removed the burden of infrastructure management, while ensuring performance and compliance standards were met.

"One of the biggest motivators behind our decision was the fast, easy-to-integrate API, which allowed us to serve content directly into our Next.js framework," Dekker explains. "We were excited to be the first in the region to adopt the platform."

Marketing becomes independent, developers get a clean integration, and IT has confidence in the enterprise-grade security that both Optimizely and the API-first approach offer.

Marketing autonomy no longer meant technical debt — it meant better collaboration and faster innovation across teams.

Partnership drives transformation

Working with digital agency Luminary, Eftsure embarked on a complete platform transformation that would make them the first company in APAC to launch on Optimizely's CMS.

For Eftsure, the move to a SaaS-based headless architecture provides the flexibility to reuse content across various channels and delivers a significantly faster, more intuitive user experience.

The implementation involved migrating 1,695 blog and case study pages, ensuring that content was transferred cleanly and efficiently while preserving historical SEO value. Partners at Luminary defined migration rules, validated content quality, and conducted testing, as well as holding several workshops to refine and optimise the approach.

The Visual Page Builder became central to the solution, providing Dekker's team with drag-and-drop functionality that eliminated developer dependencies for content creation and updates. Reusable content blueprints enabled rapid page creation while maintaining brand consistency across all markets.

Eftsure became faster, safer, and stronger

The transformation delivered measurable improvements across performance, team productivity, and content operations:

  • Enterprise-grade performance: The 200%+ page speed improvement reinforced Eftsure's credibility in the security space, where performance directly impacts customer trust and conversion

  • Marketing autonomy achieved: Content authors now create and iterate in real-time without developer support, fundamentally changing how the team operates and enabling faster response to market opportunities

  • Streamlined global operations: Localization across Australia, NZ, and US markets now happens within a unified platform, eliminating the plugin complexity that previously disrupted regional workflows

  • Enhanced search capabilities: Optimizely Graph powers faster, more relevant site search with regional context, improving user experience across all markets

The cloud-native CMS architecture removed the burden of infrastructure management, allowing Dekker's team to spend less time on updates and patches, and more time creating value for customers. The rollout demonstrated what's possible when modern CMS technology meets a bold digital team: faster launches, fewer tech headaches, and digital experiences that actually perform.

Building for the future of fraud prevention

With their new CMS foundation in place, Eftsure is positioned to continue scaling their fraud prevention mission globally. The platform's headless architecture enables them to deliver content across any channel or device, critical as financial services evolve toward more integrated, multi-channel experiences.

The marketing team's new agility enables them to respond more quickly to market opportunities and customer needs. As payment fraud becomes increasingly sophisticated, Eftsure's ability to communicate their value proposition quickly and effectively across regions gives them a competitive advantage in protecting businesses worldwide.

It’s important for Eftsure to be seen as an innovation leader, who invests in the safety and security of their customers, reinforcing their brand as a company that stays ahead of emerging threats. Not one that is handicapped by a legacy platform like WordPress.

The beauty of already seeing a return on investment, at the speed of collaboration or the removal of bottlenecks because they invested in a leading CMS, is a deserved win for a company that cares.
