In the opening keynote, Optimizely CPO, Claire Vo, will discuss how companies are adapting to the rapid shift in digital by putting customers at the center of their product development using progressive delivery and experimentation. Claire will be joined by other leaders from the Optimizely product team who will be announcing new products and key partnerships, and showing off how Optimizely customers are experimenting and rolling out their way to success in uncertain times.
Claire is the Chief Product Officer at Optimizely, the world’s leader in progressive delivery and experimentation. Previously, she was the CEO and co-founder of Experiment Engine which was acquired by Optimizely in 2017. Prior to launching Experiment Engine, Claire led product development for several startups and technology companies including Electronic Arts and BuildASign.com. Claire is an expert in high-velocity experimentation programs, product strategy and user experience, and a passionate advocate for women in technology. Claire graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A in American Studies.
Byron Jones is VP of Product and Partnerships at Optimizely. In his dual role, he focuses on developing products and infrastructure that scale and open up Optimizely’s experimentation and progressive delivery platform to a growing ecosystem. Byron is also responsible for the global partnership team, leading the high-value integrations and products Optimizely is bringing to market and teaming up with solutions partners to make customers successful. Prior to joining Optimizely, Byron spent a decade at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory where he worked on two robotic missions to Mars and an X-ray telescope.
Whelan is a Product Manager at Optimizely focusing on Machine Learning and Automation. He also enjoys hacking with Single Page Applications and leads the team enhancing Optimizely’s product compatibility with these frameworks. Originally from New Orleans, he graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematics from Dartmouth College.
Jamie leads the Full Stack product team at Optimizely. He joined Optimizely in 2013 and spent time on the Customer Success team and in sales before settling in product. Before moving to San Francisco, he worked at the US Embassy in Baghdad. Jamie hails from New Hampshire and spends most of his free time with his five younger siblings.
Asa is the Principal Developer Advocate for Optimizely. Previously, Asa was the engineering manager for Optimizely's Full Stack product, responsible for leading multiple cross-functional engineering teams in charge of Optimizely’s fastest growing product to enable companies to experiment more across websites, apps and every level of the stack. Prior to joining Optimizely, Asa worked at Microsoft as a software developer where he built the Internet Explorer site recommendation algorithm. He studied Mathematics and Computer Science at Harvard University and is an avid breakdancer.
